Gareth Barton

Gareth Barton is an Essex-based artist who studied at the Portsmouth College of Art & Design. He is also the founder of Spread Creative Ltd, where he oversees the creative and strategic direction of the company.

Gareth’s current works are on journey from more traditional forms of figurative art towards figurative expressionism, as he wrestles with the use of raw emotion in his mark-making. He continues his studies at London’s Royal Drawing School and cites the influence on his work of artists including Tracey Emin, Frank Auerbach and Cy Twombly.
